The DEERS Office (Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System) is available to enroll your spouse for military benefits. Things to bring: Marriage Certificate Spouse's ID and SSN Completed form DD 1172-2 Your military ID Search for locations: https://idco.dmdc.osd.mil/idco/

Q: How do I submit housing and pay forms for BAH?

Submit the appropriate BAH form for your branch: Army: DA Form 5960 Navy/Marine Corps: Dependency Application via NSIPS Air Force/Space Force: AF Form 594 Coast Guard: CG-4170A Items to include: Certified Marriage Certificate Copy of Spouse’s ID Orders if applicable Submit to: Finance Office or Admin/Personnel Office (PSD, S1, etc.)

Event Documents

If any such event took place in the last 2 years, you MUST bring proof of any and all of the following:

Divorces
Death certificates
Annulments
Dissolutions of State Registered Domestic Partnerships

*If your previous marriage ended more than 2 years ago, please know the exact date when it ended (month/day/year), as this information will go into the new marriage license.

Additional Requirements for State of Calrifonia

Both partners must provide the complete legal names (first, middle, and last) of their biological parents.
Both partners must currently cohabitate or intend to establish a shared residence.
Schedule an appointment and submit the required deposit.

Valid government-issued photo identification: Examples: Military ID, U.S. passport, or state-issued driver's license
If previously married: Certified copy of divorce decree or death certificate

Important: California residency is not required, and no blood test is necessary.
